Drawing Book: Daily Drawing Prompts

September 8, 2018

Hello All,

Here are a few prompts for your Daily Drawing:

Remind yourself of the techniques we are working on in class and apply them to these drawings in order to practice the concepts. A 10-20 minute drawing is a great way to stay “limber” in your observational improvement.

1. Draw a series of drawings that document the events of a fruit or veggie in all of the stages of it being eaten.  For example, a nice apple with the first bite out of it (drawing #1), then after a few bites (drawing #2), etc. all the way down to the core (last drawing in the series). This can be a multiple-day drawing or you can divide it into a few days — or try it again with another edible food.

2. Draw your morning or evening meal using your non-dominant hand.
